Door County

Located on a peninsula between Green Bay and Lake Michigan, Door County is one of Wisconsin’s most visited areas.

We started our day trip with lunch at Stone Harbor in Sturgeon Bay. The clam chowder was excellent, as was the grilled reuben sandwich.

From Sturgeon Bay we drove up the west side of the Door County peninsula and came down on the east side. We went through Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay, Gill’s Rock, Bailey’s Harbor.

We also drove on Rustic Road 39.

Daphne had not been to Door County in many years and was happy to become reacquainted with the sights.
